Lyon reportedly considering permanent transfer for Roman Yaremchuk from Olympiacos
Ukrainian media reports indicate that French club Lyon intends to trigger a 5-million-euro purchase option to permanently acquire striker Roman Yaremchuk from Olympiacos. Yaremchuk joined Lyon on loan in January following a request for more playing time, having previously been sidelined for approximately three months due to an injury. During his loan spell, the 30-year-old international has recorded one goal and one assist in eight appearances. While some reports suggest the decision is finalized, Olympiacos officials state they have received no official notification regarding the buyout. If the transfer proceeds, the French club would pay the 5-million-euro fee in addition to the 1.5 million euros already paid for the loan. Olympiacos is currently evaluating its roster strategy, as the club aims to manage its limit on non-EU players for the upcoming season.
