Six Bangladeshi nationals arrested near military facilities in Avgorou

On March 22, six nationals from Bangladesh were detained by police near military installations in Avgorou, Cyprus. The individuals were reported by members of the National Guard, leading to an immediate police investigation. Authorities confiscated mobile phones for forensic examination; while some personal photos contained views of the facilities in the background, police stated no evidence currently suggests espionage or malicious intent. Two of the detainees were found to be residing in Cyprus illegally.
