Cyprus weather report for early April
Cyprus is currently under the influence of a weak low-pressure system, resulting in partly cloudy skies and isolated showers. Temperatures on Monday and Tuesday are expected to reach approximately 19-21°C inland and on the coasts, while dropping to 2-10°C in the mountains, where frost is expected to form locally. Starting Wednesday, April 1, a more organized low-pressure system, potentially named Erminio, will move into the region from the Central Mediterranean. This system will bring overcast conditions, local rain, isolated thunderstorms, and a risk of hail, with atmospheric dust expected to impact air quality. Weather conditions are forecast to remain unsettled through Thursday afternoon before beginning to improve. By Friday and Saturday, the weather will turn partially cloudy with only isolated showers. Snow remains present on the peaks of Mount Olympus with a recorded depth of 12 centimetres. Temperatures are expected to remain near seasonal averages throughout the period.
