Film and AI workshops announced for April 2026

Four specialized workshops focused on contemporary filmmaking will take place in Nicosia and Limassol as part of an upcoming festival. One intensive two-day workshop is scheduled for April 18–19, 2026, at the CYENS Centre of Excellence in Nicosia. The sessions will run on Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00 and on Sunday from 10:00 to 13:30. Led by award-winning filmmaker Elettra Fiumi, the workshop will focus on the creative application of artificial intelligence in cinema. Twelve selected participants will work in small groups to explore image generation, scene animation, and short film production using AI tools. The curriculum emphasizes both technical skills and the responsible integration of these technologies into production workflows. Applications for these professional development opportunities are currently open to directors, screenwriters, and visual storytellers. The program aims to foster collaboration within the filmmaking community through practical exercises and case studies.
