Weather forecast for Cyprus: Low pressure and dust conditions

Cyprus remains under the influence of low pressure, leading to unstable weather conditions. Today, skies will be partially to mostly cloudy with scattered rain and thunderstorms expected initially in the north, east, and mountains, before spreading to southern and western areas. Hail is possible during thunderstorms, and sleet or snow may occur at the highest peaks of Troodos. Winds will shift from light-moderate northerly to moderate-strong southwesterly or northwesterly, reaching 4 to 5 Beaufort. Sea conditions will range from slightly rough to locally rough. Daytime temperatures will reach approximately 18 degrees Celsius inland, 20 degrees on the coast, and 9 degrees in the mountains. Overnight, temperatures will drop to around 8 degrees inland and in the southeast, and 12 degrees elsewhere. Additionally, atmospheric dust is expected to affect the region over the weekend.
