Recent bomb attacks on businesses in Limassol lead to two arrests

Two separate explosive incidents were reported in Limassol, Cyprus, involving different business locations. On March 26, police arrested two men, aged 19 and 21, in connection with an explosion at a restaurant in the old port area owned by a 40-year-old Russian businessman, which occurred on March 24 at 5:00 AM. This incident marked the third attack on the same businessman's properties, with some reports suggesting motives related to protection racketeering. Separately, an explosion occurred at 1:30 AM on Thursday at a flower shop in the Polemidia area owned by a 49-year-old woman. In the latter case, a low-power improvised explosive device damaged the storefront and two nearby parked vehicles. Police are currently investigating both matters, noting that the suspects in the restaurant case are already known to authorities. Investigations are ongoing, with police actively searching for CCTV footage to identify perpetrators in the flower shop attack.
