Police investigate multiple criminal incidents in Limassol
Authorities in Limassol are investigating a series of recent criminal incidents involving property damage. On Thursday, March 26, 2026, an employee reported damage to a restaurant's glass storefront, where police subsequently discovered a bullet casing at the scene. Separately, police are investigating a complaint from a 21-year-old who stated that on the same night, an unidentified individual fired two shots into the air and made threats near a church in a village in the Limassol district. In an unrelated but connected ongoing case, the Limassol District Court ordered a six-day detention for two suspects, aged 19 and 21, in connection with a bombing at a restaurant owned by a 40-year-old businessman on Tuesday, March 24. Police identified the suspects using security footage and evidence found in a vehicle, including a hooded sweatshirt. Investigations into all incidents are being conducted by the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (TAE) and the Episkopi Police Station. The bombing case is reported to be the third criminal act targeting the businessman's property recently.
