Weather forecast for the Easter period in Cyprus
The Department of Meteorology in Cyprus, represented by Panagiotis Georgiou, has released the weather forecast for the upcoming Easter period. The region is currently affected by weak low pressure and unstable air masses, causing localized rain and isolated thunderstorms, particularly in the interior, mountains, and southeastern areas. Conditions are expected to remain unsettled through Good Friday, with partly cloudy skies and a possibility of isolated rain or storms, mainly in western regions. Holy Saturday is forecast to be mainly cloudy, though the likelihood of rain is low and not expected to be intense. The weather is projected to improve significantly for Easter Sunday, which will be mainly sunny. Easter Monday will start clear, with high clouds developing in the afternoon, but no rain is expected. Temperatures are currently fluctuating, with peaks around 21 to 22 degrees Celsius inland and on the coast.
