Cyprus weather forecast for the remainder of Holy Week
Tasos Koulentis from the Meteorological Department stated that Cyprus is currently influenced by weak low pressure and unstable air masses. On Holy Thursday, a weather disturbance is expected to bring localized rain, storms, and potential hail, mainly in inland, mountain, and eastern regions. Following this, the weather will stabilize for Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter Sunday, though strong winds will affect the entire island. Temperatures are expected to drop by 2 to 3 degrees below seasonal averages initially. However, a significant warming trend is anticipated afterward, with temperatures potentially rising to 28 degrees Celsius. On Holy Wednesday, conditions will remain mostly clear with some local cloud development in the afternoon and isolated showers in mountainous and inland areas. Wind speeds are expected to range between 3 and 6 Beaufort depending on the location and time of day.
