Marcus Rohden returns to impact AEK Larnaca performance
Swedish midfielder Marcus Rohden has returned to action for AEK Larnaca following a three-month absence due to a serious injury sustained against Apollon in early November. Despite playing in fewer than half of the team's league matches this season, recording 13 appearances and 772 minutes on the pitch, he has become a crucial player under coach Javi Roca. Rohden has scored three goals in the current league campaign, all of which occurred in high-profile derby matches, including a decisive goal against APOEL. He previously secured a 1-2 victory against APOEL at GSP Stadium on February 8. Additionally, he recorded assists in three consecutive matches against Akritas, Crystal Palace, and Ethnikos. With the national team break underway, the club intends to use the time to allow injured players to recover before the next match against Apollon. AEK Larnaca currently trails the league leaders by six points as they enter the playoffs.
