Britain and France to co-chair meeting on Hormuz Strait security

The discussions will focus on the formation of an international coalition aimed at ensuring the security of the Strait of Hormuz. The meeting is expected to take place at the defense official level, presided over by British Chief of Defense Staff Richard Knighton and his French counterpart Fabien Mandon. Reports indicate that London has offered to host a subsequent international conference in either Portsmouth or London to formalize the coalition and secure international commitments.
