Road incidents and weather warnings across Cyprus

Several road incidents and weather-related disruptions were reported across Cyprus on March 27. On the Limassol-Nicosia highway, near the Agios Tychonas exit, a truck crashed through railings and ended up in a ditch; no injuries were reported, but lanes were closed for vehicle removal. Separately, a car crashed into barriers on the Larnaca-Ayia Napa highway near Oroklini, requiring a hospital visit for the driver as a precaution. On the same highway near Avdelleros, a truck was immobilized due to tire failure, causing temporary traffic flow changes. Furthermore, heavy rain caused water accumulation on the Limassol-Paphos highway near the Agios Silas exit, and rockslides were reported on the Tsada-Paphos road. Snowfall also affected mountain roads in Troodos, where access is restricted to 4x4 vehicles or those equipped with snow chains. Authorities have urged motorists to maintain low speeds and exercise caution due to limited visibility and slippery road conditions.
