Traffic conditions update across Cyprus due to adverse weather
Adverse weather conditions caused various disruptions to the road network across Cyprus. Earlier reports indicated heavy rainfall affecting the Nicosia-Limassol highway near Latsia, as well as the Limassol-Paphos highway near Pissouri, Kouklia, and the Ayios Silas exit. While weather conditions improved by the evening, the Police reported that road surfaces remained slippery due to earlier precipitation. In the Troodos mountain range, roads were initially restricted due to snowfall, fog, and limited visibility, but all routes were accessible to all vehicles by 6:30 PM. Drivers are warned of slippery conditions in the mountains and reports of landslides on the Tsada-Paphos road. Authorities advise motorists to maintain low speeds, keep safe distances, and remain vigilant throughout the road network. No serious ongoing problems were reported in the Limassol and Paphos districts following the cessation of heavy rain.
