The meeting will take place at 16:30 at the residence of the UN Secretary-General's Special Representative, Khassim Diagne, within the UN buffer zone. Government Spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis stated that the meeting is part of ongoing efforts to resume substantive negotiations on the Cyprus issue, based on UN Security Council resolutions. While the government emphasized its commitment and political will, media access will be restricted, with only official footage to be provided. Some sources initially suggested the meeting might occur in the morning, but the 16:30 timing was confirmed by official statements. The discussions follow President Christodoulides' recent talks with the UN Secretary-General in Brussels, where he expressed cautious optimism regarding the UN's plan to advance the process.
