Recent vehicle arson and fire incidents across Limassol and Paphos districts
Several vehicle fires were reported across Cyprus between March 25 and 26. In the Limassol district, a stolen motorcycle was deliberately set on fire while parked outside an abandoned house; it had been reported stolen from Pissouri on March 21-22. In a separate incident in Limassol, a car belonging to a 49-year-old woman was destroyed by fire, which also damaged a second vehicle owned by a 49-year-old man. In the Paphos district, police are investigating an arson case involving a 35-year-old man's vehicle in the village of Armou, which was completely destroyed. Additionally, a vehicle driven by a 52-year-old man in Emba, Paphos, caught fire; the owner extinguished it with a hose before the Fire Service arrived. Authorities including the CID and Electromechanical Service are investigating the causes of these fires. No injuries have been reported in these incidents.
