Two arrests made in Larnaca drug and theft operation

On Tuesday night at approximately 11:40 p.m. in Larnaca, police arrested a 34-year-old man for drug possession. During a stop, YKAN officers discovered 359 grams of cocaine, two grams of cannabis resin, two precision scales, two mobile phones, and €1,115 in his bag. The suspect appeared before the Larnaca District Court on Wednesday and was remanded in custody for eight days. In the same operation, officers also stopped a 31-year-old man at the same location. A background check revealed an outstanding arrest warrant against him for a theft and malicious damage case committed in Nicosia between March 14 and 15, 2026. The 31-year-old was subsequently arrested and taken into custody. Both cases remain under active police investigation.
