Israeli Foreign Minister Saar claims victory in conflict with Iran
On March 17, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar declared that Israel has essentially won the war against Iran, citing the significant weakening of the Iranian regime. Despite this declaration, Saar stated that military operations will continue until set objectives are achieved, without providing a definitive end date. The campaign, now in its 18th day, has resulted in over 2,000 deaths across Iran, Lebanon, Israel, Iraq, and the Gulf region. Israel reports targeting Iranian ballistic missile launchers, production facilities, and sites allegedly linked to Iran's nuclear program. Regarding potential regime change in Tehran, Saar acknowledged that such an outcome can only be driven by the Iranian people themselves. Additionally, the minister called on the Lebanese government to immediately halt attacks originating from its territory. Conflicting reports regarding the status of officials, such as Larijani, remain unverified, adding to regional uncertainty.
