Giorgos Katris extends contract with Panathinaikos until 2030
On Monday, March 16, Panathinaikos officially announced the contract extension of 20-year-old central defender Giorgos Katris until June 2030. Katris, who joined the club's academy in 2021 before turning 16, signed his first professional contract in the summer of 2023. He previously gained experience in the Super League 2 with Panathinaikos B and completed a loan spell at Levadiakos, from where he returned this past January. Under the management of Rafael Benitez, the player has secured a regular spot in the starting eleven. Following the signing, Katris expressed his commitment to the club and his ambition to achieve future goals. He also acknowledged the possibility of playing abroad later in his career.
