Noverna poll highlights public dissatisfaction with President Christodoulides' policies

A Noverna poll conducted between February 26 and March 11, 2026, featuring 1,020 respondents, indicates significant public skepticism toward the administration of President Nikos Christodoulides. Overall approval of the president's performance stands at 28 percent, while 56 percent of respondents expressed disapproval. Water management is the most critical area, with 69 percent of citizens questioning the adequacy of government measures, particularly in the Famagusta and Limassol regions. Economic policy and tax reform also received negative feedback, with 51 percent disapproving and 44 percent of participants stating that the reforms primarily benefit high-income earners. Regarding public safety under Justice Minister Costas Fitiris, 37 percent approve of the government's actions, while 56 percent disapprove. Immigration policy faces a 47 percent disapproval rate, with notable opposition from young Elam voters. In contrast, the government's digital transformation initiatives were the only area to receive a more favorable reception, with 46 percent expressing approval.
