Cyprus wholesale and motor vehicle sector performance in 2025

According to data from the Cyprus Statistical Service (Cystat), the wholesale trade turnover index increased by 9.3 percent in the fourth quarter of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. For the full year of 2025, wholesale trade turnover grew by 5.9 percent. In the motor vehicle sales and repair sector, activity remained unchanged in the fourth quarter of 2025 relative to the fourth quarter of 2024. However, for the total period of January through December 2025, the motor vehicle sector recorded a cumulative growth of 3.0 percent compared to the previous year. These figures reflect a positive annual performance for both sectors. The data confirms that wholesale trade saw stronger growth in the final quarter, whereas the vehicle sector's annual gains were offset by stagnation in the fourth quarter.
