Fifth Cyprus Robotics Competition concludes in Nicosia

The 5th All-Cyprus Robotics Competition, featuring Robotic Day and the FIRST Tech Challenge, took place on March 7-8, 2026, in Nicosia. Organized by the Achievement Foundation for Talented and Gifted Youth, the event hosted over 600 students, including international teams from Russia. The competition was divided into two sections: Robotic Day Cyprus 2026, using LEGO and ARDUINO platforms, and the FIRST Tech Challenge Cyprus 2026, utilizing the advanced REV platform. Winners from the Robotic Day section secured participation in the Robotic Day Prague 2026 event scheduled for June. Additionally, five teams were selected from the FIRST Tech Challenge to represent Cyprus at international events. Specifically, the team Lumio School Robobober qualified for the Houston competition in April. Four other teams earned placements for upcoming events in Eindhoven and Istanbul this June. The winning teams represent various schools and private educational centers across Cyprus.
