Cyprus job vacancies report for the fourth quarter of 2025
According to the Statistical Service of Cyprus, the number of job vacancies in the fourth quarter of 2025 reached 13,538. This represents an annual increase of 541 positions, or 4.2%, compared to the 12,997 vacancies recorded in the fourth quarter of 2024. However, on a quarterly basis, there was a decline of 1,035 positions, reflecting a 7.1% decrease from the third quarter of 2025. The vacancy rate, defined as the ratio of vacancies to total employees and vacancies, stood at 2.8% for the fourth quarter of 2025. This compares to 3.0% in the previous quarter and 2.8% during the same period in 2024. The highest vacancy rates were reported in administrative and support service activities at 3.9%. Wholesale and retail trade, including the repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, followed with 3.8%. Finally, the mining and quarrying sector recorded a vacancy rate of 3.6%.
