Fatal head-on car accident occurs near Lamia

On Sunday afternoon, a fatal head-on collision occurred at the entrance to Lamia, specifically on the road toward Anthili and Roditsa, past the first roundabout. A 27-year-old female driver was extracted from her vehicle by the fire department and transported to Lamia Hospital by EKAB ambulance. Despite the medical efforts provided at the hospital, the woman succumbed to her injuries. The victim was a mother of three young children and originated from Trikala, though she resided in Lamia. Two other individuals involved in the accident, a father and his son who were in the second vehicle, sustained lighter injuries and were also transported to the hospital. The Lamia Traffic Department is currently conducting an investigation into the exact circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities are working to determine the cause of the collision, which occurred shortly after a roundabout.
