Oil loading suspended at UAE port of Fujairah following drone fire
Oil loading operations have been suspended at the port of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates following a fire caused by a drone strike. The Fujairah government media office stated that civil defense teams are working to control the blaze and confirmed there are no casualties. While Reuters sources report that the fire was the result of a drone attack, the Fujairah media office stated that the incident was caused by falling debris during the interception of a drone. This event marks a second significant disruption to the bunkering hub within recent days. The port of Fujairah is a critical facility located on the Gulf of Oman, handling roughly 1 million barrels of Murban crude per day. These incidents occur amidst broader tensions in the Strait of Hormuz involving the United States, Israel, and Iran. ADNOC has not provided an official comment regarding the operational status of the port.
