DIKO president speaks on the economy in Paphos

On Saturday, President of the DIKO party, Nicolas Papadopoulos, addressed an event titled 'Dialogue on Economy and Entrepreneurship' organized by INE in Paphos. Papadopoulos stated that the state's primary concern during times of crisis should be the support of Cypriot businesses to ensure their continued operation and job creation. He noted that the Cypriot economy has demonstrated significant resilience and adaptability despite various challenges over the past decades. He credited this performance to the hard work and ingenuity of local entrepreneurs and workers. Furthermore, Papadopoulos warned that Cyprus is currently facing complex challenges, including geopolitical tensions, energy issues, and impacts on tourism. He called for a responsible political approach, explicitly rejecting populism and irresponsibility. He emphasized the necessity of European solidarity as a key component for navigating these ongoing regional and economic difficulties.
