Direct Democracy party announces 56 candidates for upcoming parliamentary elections

The Direct Democracy party, founded by Fidias Panagiotou, presented 56 candidates for the upcoming May parliamentary elections during an event held in Limassol. The candidates were selected through a public voting process conducted via the AGORA application, which concluded at 23:59 on March 14. A total of 16,080 citizens participated in the voting process. Fidias Panagiotou received the highest number of votes in Nicosia with 1,917 votes. Other notable results include Dimitris Souglis, who secured the most votes in Limassol with 1,338 votes, and Giannis Laouris, who came in second in Nicosia with 1,443 votes. Valerie Tarapai was selected for the Kyrenia constituency with 29 votes. The event also featured the announcement of reserve candidates for each province. The party list covers all major districts including Nicosia, Limassol, Famagusta, Larnaca, Paphos, and Kyrenia.
