Arrest made following December clash in Limassol

Police in Limassol arrested a 28-year-old man on a judicial warrant for his alleged involvement in a clash that took place on December 26, 2025, in the Agia Zoni area. The investigation concerns charges of conspiracy to commit a felony and rioting. Authorities report that approximately 15 foreign nationals were involved in the incident, which included fighting with fists, clubs, and iron bars. Officers discovered bloodstains and an iron bar at the scene. On December 27, 2025, 12 other individuals were arrested in connection with the same case. One of the suspects claimed he had been abducted and forcibly taken to an apartment where he was assaulted. An 18-year-old individual who sustained injuries during the event was also found by the police. The Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (TAE) is continuing its examination of the case.
