Recent Greek military deployment to Cyprus

Greece recently deployed four F-16 fighter jets and two frigates to Cyprus, citing security concerns and the need for mutual defense. This initiative sparked public debate in both Nicosia and Athens regarding the strategic intent and potential risks. Critics argued that the deployment primarily serves to protect British military bases on the island rather than Cyprus itself.
