Hapoel Tel Aviv has relocated its foreign players and coaching staff to Ayia Napa, Cyprus, due to the ongoing security situation in Israel. The team arrived on March 13, 2026, and officially commenced their training camp on March 14, 2026. The training sessions are led by assistant coaches David Samaniego Garcia and Dusan Matovic, alongside physical trainer Julio Martinez. The squad is conducting two daily training sessions to maintain their fitness levels for the resumption of the league season. Among the players participating is Loizos Loizou. The club stated that the team will remain in Cyprus until conditions allow for their return to Israel. This relocation is strictly for athletic preparation to ensure competitive readiness.
