President Christodoulides addresses price hikes and regional instability

On March 14, 2026, President Nikos Christodoulides visited Pakhna, Limassol, to meet with community leaders and discuss the economic impacts of the war in Iran. Additionally, the President announced a trip to Brussels next week, from Tuesday to Friday, to discuss agriculture, tourism, and other national issues with the President of the European Commission. Regarding international concerns about Cyprus's safety, he emphasized that the island remains secure, citing the hosting of the European Throwing Cup with over 400 athletes as proof. He criticized negative reports in the foreign press, asserting that they misrepresent the reality of living in Cyprus.
