Israeli military warns of potential strikes on ambulances in Lebanon

On Saturday, Israeli military spokesman Avichai Adraee stated that the Israel Defense Forces may target ambulances and medical facilities in Lebanon, alleging their use by Hezbollah for military operations. The Israeli military provided no evidence to support these claims, and a Hezbollah official explicitly denied that the group uses medical resources for combat purposes. Since March 2, the Lebanese Health Ministry reports that Israeli strikes have resulted in the deaths of at least 26 medics and first responders. This conflict escalated after Hezbollah began firing rockets into Israel on March 2, citing retaliation for the death of Iran's supreme leader. Israel subsequently launched an extensive aerial campaign that has caused over 700 fatalities and the displacement of hundreds of thousands of people. While Israel maintains it takes precautions to avoid civilian harm, it has warned that it will act against any military activity within medical facilities. Additionally, Israeli aircraft distributed flyers over Beirut on Friday as tensions continue to rise.
