Paphos municipality upgrades coastal areas with new greenery and infrastructure

The Municipality of Paphos is focusing its efforts this year on enhancing green spaces along its coastline. Euclides Ambrosiadis, head of the Beach Committee, announced plans for tree planting, grass installation, and the creation of small green zones. Over the past two years, the municipality has replaced lifeguard towers, installed sand cleaning compressors, and purchased an additional electric vehicle to improve operational efficiency. The local government has also increased its workforce by hiring additional cleaning staff and three collectors for municipal beaches, including SODAP and the Municipal Baths. According to official reports, the municipality has already completed a series of projects that were originally scheduled for completion over a five-year period.
