Relic of Saint Marina arrives in Cyprus for public veneration
The sacred relic of Saint Marina has been transported from the Holy Monastery of Saint George in Ilia, Evia, to the Church of Saint George in Pano Deftera, Cyprus. The arrival of the relic occurred on March 13, 2026, with a formal reception held in the village square at 18:00. The relic will remain available for public veneration at the church until March 22, 2026. Throughout this period, the church will be open daily to the public from 06:30 to 20:00. Daily morning and evening services are scheduled to be held during the relic's residency. Father Theodoros stated that the event aims to provide an opportunity for worshipers from across the island to visit.
