PAOK vs. Aris basketball match postponed following fan's death
The Hellenic Basketball Federation (ESAKE) officially postponed the 21st-round Stoiximan GBL match between PAOK and Aris, originally scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 18:15. This decision followed a formal request by PAOK BC, submitted after the violent death of a 20-year-old PAOK fan in the Kalamaria district of Thessaloniki. The club communicated with the Deputy Minister of Sport, Giannis Vroutsis, to facilitate the request as a sign of mourning. PAOK emphasized that no sporting rivalry or victory outweighs the value of a human life. The league will announce a new date for the fixture at a later time. Supporters who purchased tickets for the original date will be able to use them for the rescheduled game. Those unable to attend the new date should contact the PAOK BC offices once the information is released.
