Jewelry store robbed in Fremont, California

In June 2025, approximately 20 masked individuals robbed the Kumar jewelry store in Fremont, California. The group arrived in multiple vehicles and used sledgehammers and chisels to break glass displays, taking an estimated 75% to 80% of the store's inventory. According to reports citing the U.S. Department of Justice and local media, the entire operation lasted about 70 seconds. The stolen goods are valued at over 1.4 million euros. The perpetrators fled in stolen vehicles, complicating police efforts to track them via security footage. A subsequent police pursuit led to the arrest of four individuals aged 19 to 20, though two were later released. As of now, the case has not proceeded to trial.
