Open University of Cyprus hosts lectures on theater and contemporary dramaturgical studies

The Open University of Cyprus is organizing two open public lectures for its Master's program in Theater Studies. On March 18, 2026, at 18:30, Dr. Maria Chamali will host Professor Savvas Patsalidis for a lecture titled 'Theater in an Era of Transformations' regarding postmodern shifts in stage performance. Subsequently, on March 20, 2026, at 18:00, Dr. Eleni Gkini will host playwright Thanasis Triaridis for a discussion on political speech in theater. Triaridis, born in 1970, has authored over 65 books and 1,000 texts since 2000. In March 2026, two of his plays are scheduled in Athens: 'Know that what you hear is a train whistle' at the Olvio Theater and 'Murderers, you are the new Auschwitz' at the Ergotaxio Theater.
