Vladimiros Tziortzis prepares for the upcoming NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season
Cypriot driver Vladimiros Tziortzis has begun pre-season testing for the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series ahead of the first race scheduled for the third weekend of April. Testing sessions commenced on Thursday, March 12, under sunny conditions, followed by rainy conditions on Friday. The current testing phase incorporates technical adjustments required by the updated 2026 regulations. Significant changes for this season include restricted time frames for teams to work on vehicle set-ups and limitations on allowed mechanical modifications. Tziortzis noted that these rule changes are intended to emphasize driver skill and promote closer competition. Furthermore, Friday's wet weather allowed for the evaluation of new Hoosier rain tires, which feature a different compound compared to those used in 2024 and 2025. These modifications and testing protocols reflect the series' transition toward the 2026 regulatory framework.
