Cyprus participates in the Autobest 2026 consumer voting process
For the first time in its 25-year history, the Autobest organization is allowing European consumers to participate in the selection of the 'Best Buy Car of Europe 2026'. The new 'Autobest Conquest' framework grants public votes a 50% weight in the final score, matching the influence of the journalistic committee. Cyprus has officially entered this voting process, with Cypriot automotive journalist Petros Soutzis serving as the current president of the organization. The Autobest committee represents 32 countries and evaluates vehicles based on criteria such as price, technology, fuel consumption, and practicality. Simultaneously, the new electric Renault 4 has been introduced to the Cyprus market by the Pilakoutas Group. The Renault 4 is among the models competing for the 2026 award, featuring a design inspired by its 1960s predecessor. It offers a range of up to 400 kilometers in mixed cycle and includes modern technology such as the OpenR system with integrated Google services.
