Ministry of Interior announces electoral roll preparations for religious groups

The Cyprus Ministry of Interior has begun preparing special electoral rolls for the Maronite, Armenian, and Latin religious groups. These elections for religious representatives will be held concurrently with the parliamentary elections on May 24, 2026. Voters belonging to these groups can inspect the preliminary lists from March 16 to March 26, 2026, at District Administration offices and the Ministry's Election Service. This period allows citizens to check their information and submit any necessary objections or corrections. The final electoral lists will be compiled following the completion of the supplementary roll update on April 2, 2026. Individuals who turn 18 by the election date are eligible for inclusion in the final rolls. The Ministry urges all eligible voters to verify their details promptly to ensure their participation. This administrative process is mandated by the current electoral legislation.
