Nicosia to host 25th European Throwing Cup in March 2026

The 25th European Throwing Cup is scheduled to take place on March 14 and 15, 2026, at the GSP National Athletics Stadium in Nicosia, Cyprus. Organized by the Cyprus Amateur Athletics Association (KOEAS), this event marks the first international outdoor track and field competition of 2026. Approximately 300 athletes, along with 130 coaches and staff from 35 countries, are expected to participate. The competition will feature various throwing events, with attendance from Olympic, World, and European champions. The financial sponsor for the event is XM, which has committed to a three-year sponsorship deal covering the 2025–2027 editions of the competition. XM has supported the Cyprus Amateur Athletics Association for over seven years. The event aims to highlight high-level athletic performance in the sport of field throwing.
