Armenian ambassador visits Cyprus University of Technology in Paphos
On March 10, 2026, Armenian Ambassador Inna Torgomyan and Deputy Head of Mission Anush Harutyunyan visited the Paphos campus of the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT). The visit was hosted by the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management. The delegation met with CUT Vice-Rector Evangelos Akylas, School Dean Alexis Saveriades, and Department Chair Antonis Theocharous. Discussions focused on academic cooperation, institutional partnerships, and social initiatives to support the Armenian community in Paphos. The university presented the 'Herakleitos' research unit's work on digitalizing cultural heritage, which the Ambassador expressed interest in applying to Armenian heritage. Attendees also toured the school's laboratories. An official lunch featuring Armenian cuisine was held, attended by Paphos municipal councilors, MP Savvides, and members of the local Armenian community. The visit concluded with discussions on the role of gastronomic diplomacy in cultural exchange.
