Goethe-Institut Cyprus announces third edition of GoetheKino

The Goethe-Institut Cyprus, in partnership with the Visual Artists and Art Theorists Association-phytorio, is organizing the third edition of the film series titled "Questions of her Own". Running from March to May 2026, the series explores the historical representation and visibility of women in the arts. The programme begins on 18 March 2026 with Susanne Radelhof’s two-part documentary "Lost Women Art", followed by a discussion featuring art historian Christina Lambrou and theorist Ioulita Toumazi. On 29 April 2026, the series continues with the screening of Gregor Schnitzler’s "Lotte am Bauhaus", accompanied by a talk with Evagoras Vanezis and Kyriaki Costa. The event concludes on 27 May 2026 with the screening of Shelly Silver’s "Girls / Museum". These screenings aim to facilitate reflection on art history and acknowledge the contributions of women artists, including those from the Cypriot context. All events are designed to encourage dialogue between local artists, art theorists, and the public.
