Overnight drone strikes and missile attacks reported in Russia and Ukraine

Overnight, mutual drone and missile attacks targeted infrastructure in both Russia and Ukraine. In the Krasnodar region of Russia, Ukrainian drones damaged the Afipsky oil refinery and the Port of Kavkaz, where three people were injured and a general-purpose vessel was destroyed. A Ukrainian official also claimed that a drone strike hit the Tikhoretsk oil terminal. The Russian Defense Ministry reported the interception of 80 to 87 drones across various regions, while also stating that attacks on its Russkaya and Beregovaya gas pumping stations failed. Conversely, in the Chernihiv region of Ukraine, a Russian strike killed a 15-year-old girl and injured her parents in the village of Menska. Meanwhile, the CEO of the Ukrainian company Naftogaz stated that Russian drones attacked an oil pumping station in the Odesa region for the second consecutive day. Tensions remain high as both nations continue to target energy and transport infrastructure.
