Erika Kirk appointed to the US Air Force Academy Board of Visitors

President Donald Trump has appointed 37-year-old Erika Kirk to the Board of Visitors of the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. This board consists of 16 members who oversee the academy's curriculum, instruction, physical equipment, fiscal affairs, and academic methods, while providing annual recommendations to the Department of Defense. Erika Kirk succeeds her husband, Charlie Kirk, who served on the board until he was murdered in September on a university campus in Utah. Following his death, Erika Kirk assumed leadership of Turning Point USA, a conservative youth organization previously led by her husband. White House spokesperson Olivia Wells confirmed the appointment, characterizing the selection as an intentional choice by the President.
