Stephen Constantine leaves APEA Akrotiri for the Rwanda national football team
Stephen Constantine has resigned as head coach of APEA Akrotiri to accept an offer to lead the Rwanda men's national football team. APEA Akrotiri officially announced the mutual agreement to terminate their cooperation, expressing gratitude for his professional contributions. During his tenure, Constantine led the team to notable results, including a 2–1 victory against Karmiotissa, a 3–0 win over Ethnikos Latsion, and a performance against APOEL Nicosia in the cup. This marks a return for the Anglo-Cypriot coach to the Rwandan bench, as he previously held the position between May 2014 and January 2015. Savvas Konstantinou will assume the role of interim coach for APEA Akrotiri for the remaining matches of the second division championship. While some reports suggested the move was pending final confirmation, the club's announcement confirms the departure. The Rwanda national team squad features AEL Limassol player Emmanuel Imanishimwe. Constantine's move is driven by his appointment as the new federal coach of Rwanda.
