Traffic camera operator attacked near Kouklia

A 36-year-old employee of a traffic camera company reported an assault while working on the Paphos–Limassol highway. The incident occurred at approximately 2:40 a.m. near the Kouklia exit. While the victim was parked in a company vehicle, a car carrying three individuals pulled up alongside him. One of the suspects approached the driver and requested to speak with him; when the victim opened his window slightly, the suspect sprayed an unidentified substance into his face. Concurrently, the other two suspects reportedly struck the company vehicle, causing property damage. The victim managed to drive away from the scene and immediately traveled to a police station to file a formal complaint. The Paphos Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is currently investigating the circumstances of the attack.
