Traffic incidents reported across Cyprus
Several road accidents occurred across Cyprus, primarily in the Nicosia and Limassol districts. On Monday, a 91-year-old pedestrian was struck by a car driven by a 28-year-old woman in Latsia, Nicosia, resulting in a head injury; he remains in stable condition at Nicosia General Hospital. On Tuesday morning, a collision between a concrete mixer and a vehicle on the Nicosia–Palaichori road caused traffic congestion near the Ergates Industrial Area, with no serious injuries reported. Additionally, a vehicle overturned on the Paphos–Limassol highway on March 15, 2026, causing injuries to occupants. Further incidents included a two-vehicle collision on Diagorou Street in central Nicosia and a crash in Limassol where a 21-year-old driver hit a tree. Police are investigating the circumstances of all these road traffic incidents. Traffic management and emergency response teams were deployed to the respective locations to clear the scenes and assist the victims.
