Woman murdered by former partner in Messina, Sicily

On Tuesday night, 50-year-old Daniela Giinati was murdered in Messina, Sicily. The perpetrator, her 67-year-old former partner, attacked her with a knife at her home, causing fatal injuries. The suspect had previously been placed under house arrest with an electronic monitoring bracelet following several complaints filed by the victim. Reports indicate he arrived at the victim's house to talk, but after she refused to reconcile, he committed the attack. The victim's daughter discovered the body upon returning home and required medical attention due to shock. Police identified the suspect using security camera footage. The perpetrator confessed to the crime and has been remanded into custody.
