Authorities in Greece are conducting an investigation into an organized crime group accused of a gold sovereign fraud scheme based in Larissa. The investigation is being led by the Organized Crime Division of the Hellenic Police, often referred to as the Greek FBI. Recent aerial drone surveillance conducted by police has revealed several luxury residential properties linked to the suspect Roma family. Notably, authorities identified a private helipad on one of the estates under investigation. Officials state that the standard of living observed at these locations contrasts significantly with the official financial records of the suspects. Investigators are currently cross-referencing banking data, financial transactions, and property holdings to ascertain the full scope of the suspects' assets. Additionally, police are gathering further testimonies from victims of the alleged scam. The suspects are scheduled to present their defense to the authorities regarding these charges.
