Recent wave of criminal activity and weapon discoveries in Limassol
Limassol authorities are investigating multiple criminal incidents reported over the past week, including burglaries, a shooting, and an illegal weapons cache. In the Pantea area, burglars targeting residential apartments broke into properties using sharp objects to bypass locks. Witnesses reported three suspects operating a dark-colored vehicle. Simultaneously, police are investigating a shooting incident at a local café where two bullet holes were discovered in the windows, likely occurring several days prior to the report. Separately, police recovered a pistol without a magazine and five blocks of TNT-type explosives weighing 670 grams in an open area. While some sources suggested the location was between Alassa and Lania or Monagri, the authorities confirmed the items were discovered following a tip-off. Investigators have explicitly stated that the recovered explosives are of a different type than those previously stolen from the National Guard, ruling out a direct link between the cases.
